Looker Books
Looker Books is an imaginative community bookstore with new books and gifts from all genres for all ages. We provide an enchanting and cozy space for customers to relax, explore, and discover something new during each visit. We deliver curated content, a personal touch, and a cool experience to share with friends.
We encourage a love of reading, writing, and creativity by supporting literary charities, schools, authors, and artists within our community. With the support of our customers, we hope to expand our space, hours, and offerings within the Coatesville community in the coming year.
Looker Books is open in the Made in Coatesville Incubator Market on Thursdays from 4:30-7:00p, Fridays from 11:30a-7:00p, and Saturdays from 11:30a-4:00p. All other days are available by appointment only. Contact via email or phone for an appointment.

Stingy Brims
A lifelong champion for kids, families, and community, Fred serves on the Board of Directors of the Coatesville Area Public Library with the same energy once reserved for full-court basketball and long bike rides through Philadelphia streets. A South Philly native who has called Chester County home for 22 years, Fred has spent more than 30 years working and volunteering with organizations that support children and families, bringing heart, hustle, and a bias for action to every effort.
Drawing on studies in Recreation Therapy at Penn State University, Fred believes that play, connection, and creativity are serious tools for building stronger communities—preferably with a little friendly competition mixed in. As the owner of a small business in Coatesville, Fred is deeply invested in the city’s growth and loves seeing the library serve as a hub where neighbors, ideas, and opportunities meet.
When not in a board meeting or cheering on the next generation, Fred can usually be found enjoying time with his beloved wife, spoiling grandkids, showing up for the community, and grounding it all in a steady, unapologetic faith. If there’s a way to make Coatesville a little kinder, smarter, or more connected, chances are Fred is already asking, “How can I help?”
